A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Love is in the air! Ceremony Magazine published a styled shoot I participated in, entitled A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and this could not be more dreamy and more perfect.

The shoot took place on the beautiful grounds of the Heritage Museum of Orange County, with its gorgeous garden setting, I was inspired to use some natural, handmade paper embedded with real flower petals and of course, PearlEx Rose Gold, written in a flowing and romantic script. The whole suite turned out so pretty!

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Eileen of Enamor Events on this beautiful invitation suite for a muted pastels palette that is featured today! I had so much fun working on suite as well as signage, using muted pastels as inspiration.

Flow Weekly has landed!

I was contacted earlier this year by Albertine at Flow Weekly to share this calligraphy/lettering piece for the publication and to do a little Q&A about calligraphy and the 365 days of daily lettering I did last year. I finally got my copy today – looks like the package made a detour to Mexico before landing in my mailbox in California!

I am beyond thrilled to share the news that my work will be published in the upcoming issue of UPPERCASE Magazine!

Issue #23 contains a special calligraphy and lettering section featuring Seb Lester (our cover calligrapher), master penman Jake Weidmann and profiles of Joy Deneen, Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls, Erica McPhee, Barbara Calzolari, Neil Tasker, Pietro Piscitelli and Molly Jacques.

So very honored to contribute to this special issue which features so many of my calligraphy heroes. I have a small spotlight among other calligraphers who also submitted their work for this issue.
