A Midsummer Night’s Dream

20160401-1

Love is in the air! Ceremony Magazine published a styled shoot I participated in, entitled A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and this could not be more dreamy and more perfect.

20160401-2

The shoot took place on the beautiful grounds of the Heritage Museum of Orange County, with its gorgeous garden setting, I was inspired to use some natural, handmade paper embedded with real flower petals and of course, PearlEx Rose Gold, written in a flowing and romantic script. The whole suite turned out so pretty!

Vermeer Visions – Smitten Magazine

20160321-1

The new issue of Smitten Magazine (Issue 14) is themed Painterly, and I am so honored to be part of the styled shoot called Vermeer Visions! I worked with the talented team of Nomad Nuptuals, MeghanElise Photography, Jen Events, and others at the spectacular St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point.

20160321-3

I absolutely adore this dreamy shoot with beautiful, muted colors. I used shades of warm gray, blush, and gold to create the wedding invitation suite, table numbers, and place cards. It’s definitely one of my favorites by far.

A shot of the full wedding invitation suite. I love how the gold “painterly” brushed effect on the pale blush cards worked out perfectly!

For more of this breathtaking shoot, head over to Smitten Magazine and check out the Painterly issue, or look for it at a retailer near you!

Love Struck – Smitten Magazine

20150127_hawks3

Oh. My. Goodness. How much do I love this styled shoot at Hawks Ranch?! This beautiful collaboration was featured on smitten-mag.com today and is definitely one of the favorites I’ve worked on so far! It’s just so unique and stylish from the venue, the flowers, design and decor. I absolutely adore the Love Struck theme and ran with the golden arrow motif as I created the table numbers, seating cards and place cards for the shoot.

Style Me Pretty Feature with Spark and Wildflower!

20150130_SMP2

A few months ago, Mattie of Spark and Wildflower contacted me about a project she’s working on – a DIY Pallet Escort Card Display for a Style Me Pretty feature! I was more than happy to be a part of this fun collaboration!

I sourced raw-edged ivory cards from IrishBrigid on Etsy which were perfect for the charming, rustic style. The cards were lettered by me in a fun casual script in Sumi ink.

Mattie did such a wonderful job! I loved seeing my calligraphy as part of this great DIY project and would love to collaborate with stylists, planners or photographers!

Today is the day after Thanksgiving, and I am so very thankful for amazing clients. I worked with Beth on her invitation envelopes and place cards for her November wedding. She was so sweet and thoughtful to share photos from her wedding with me this morning and totally made my day! The photos look so wonderful I couldn’t believe I was looking at my own work!

I used Schmincke’s Designer gouache in Gold Pearl on place cards from Paper Source, and Sumi ink on William Arthur envelopes lined with burgundy. Both written in Emily script.

Thank you again Beth for sharing photos with me – it was an honor to work with you!

Jessica and Nathan, July 2014

It was almost a year ago in November 2013, when I was contacted by Pamela to inquire about addressing envelopes for her daughter Jessica’s wedding. She wanted a casual script for the Save-the-Dates, and a formal style script for the wedding invites. Of course I was more than happy to work with Pamela and Jessica to add a personal touch to set the mood for a special day!

I documented the progress on Instagram as I went along.

The Save-The-Dates. A casual script, using custom-mixed gray gouache for a softer look.

The invites were addressed in a more formal and classy style, also in a soft gray.
